Interesting organisations & campaigns

I can't necessarily vouch for any of these from personal experience, but they just looked interesting in one way or another. They're all UK-based.
I'm just setting this page up and I intend to add more organisations in due course.

The Wind Fund
Investment in renewable energy. Minimum investment in shares: £260. It's one of those where your investment "may go down in value as well as up".
"The UK is well-blessed with renewable energy resources. For example, it has the best wind resource in Europe. Government researchers have concluded that existing renewable energy technologies could provide nearly 40% of our total electricity needs by the year 2025 - even without taking into account new technological breakthroughs and the potential for harnessing wind power off our shores."
